Who We Are

VKIDS TRUST UGANDA is a charitable Christian Organization that has become one of the grass root development assistance tool's on the Island of Kalangala, hence supporting local communities. It has been in existence on the island of Kalangala and other neighbouring islands for 5 years.
VKids Trust Uganda is a registered non-governmental organization that fully operates in four districts in Uganda including Kampala District, Wakiso, Mpigi, and Kalangala.

The first operation's of VKids Trust Uganda were aimed in Kalangala District, a district in Southern Central Uganda. This district is coterminous with the Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria.

Why Kalangala District?

Among the four districts, Kalangala is less developed and has a higher rate of under privileged people, especially children. We believe that every child has a right to a quality and comfortable life.

Children on these Islands lack access to basic resources, such as nutrition, hygiene, healthcare, education information and safe shelter.

Vkids Trust Uganda: Vision is to reach out to vulnerable kids in Uganda in all aspects of their lives.

Mission

VKIDS Trust Uganda is a Christian ministry who is dedicated to improving the quality of education, safety, and life of underprivilaged children in Kalangala and the surronding areas.

Our mission is accomplished by the support of dedicated people around the world who share the strong desire to make a positive difference in the life of vulnerable children.

Objectives

1. Basic education for all the children we are able to reach out to.
2. Provide skilled and non-skilled scholarships.
3. Empower families through farming and vocational training.
4. Provide assistance and resources to those in dire need.
5. Organize vocational work shops for women living with HIV, widows, and recovering alcoholics.
6. Lay strategies that focus on orphans and vulnerable children, especially hygiene and education.
7. Reduce on the infant mortality rate.
